Stamford Robotics Open Tournament V5 MS/HS - This event is a qualifying event for V5 teams for the VEX 2025/2026 Hong Kong national qualifiers. Tech Challenge - VEX V5: Hong Kong Championship

We are excited to invite you to the annual Stamford Robotics Open Tournament V5 MS/HS! This event is part of ACAMIS and brings together talented students from various schools to showcase their skills in robotics, innovation, and teamwork.

The event will cost 100 HKD/CNY/MOP - if you would like this fee to be waived, please email [email protected] for an adult to take on a volunteering role per registered team.

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Digital Notebooks need to be submitted by 31st October, 2025, at 5 pm to give judges enough time to score them.

Bad Weather Conditions

Rainstorm Warning

  • Amber Rainstorm Warning:

    • Normal operations will continue. Parents are advised to exercise caution when commuting.
  • Red Rainstorm Warning:

    • The event will be suspended if the warning is issued before the start of the tournament day. 
    • If the warning is issued during the event, students will remain at school until the warning is lifted.
  • Black Rainstorm Warning:

    • The event will be suspended.
    • Students will remain at school until arrangements are made for their safe dismissal.

Tropical Cyclone Warning

  • Signal No. 1:

    • Normal operations will continue. Parents are advised to monitor updates.
  • Signal No. 3:

    • Event may continue, but parents should assess safety for travel.
  • Signal No. 8 or above:

    • Event will be suspended.

Emergency Situations

  • In the event of an emergency (e.g., fire, earthquake), staff will follow established emergency protocols.
  • Students will be evacuated to designated safe areas as per the school’s emergency response plan.
  • Coaches will be notified as soon as possible.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: No Refund Policy is applied

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No Refund Policy is applied
