General Info

On the day before Valentine's Day, we invite you to show off your love and passion for robotics! This will be a themed tournament, so come dressed and decorated for Valentine's Day! We will also be giving out themed bonus awards.*

We will be selling carnations/valentines for $1, send them boldly (with your name) or anonymously to your favorite competitors.

Join Terrell ISD for our first (in a long time) V5 tournament. This is a blended tournament, open to all grade levels. 

We will have judging, skills, one practice field, and a two-field tournament set-up. Our Pits will be student-only areas.

 

Ventines Achivements:

Cupid - Given to whoever sent the most carnations/valentines to others.

Soulmates - Given by the Score Keepers and Ref to the two teams whose robots who complimented each-other the best.

Heart Broken - Given to the first team to be rejected during alliance selection.

 

Pending: Food trucks and a car show.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This tournament will be rescheduled in the event of Bad Weather or an Emergency.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In the event that the tournament must be canceled, the tournament fee minus the RECF fee will be returned to the team or school once it is received from RECF.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

The Event Partner must be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the event, so that other teams may have the opportunity to attend. If the Event partner is notified 2 weeks prior to the event, the registration fee minus the RECF fee ($5.00) will be returned once a check from the RECF is received with that team’s registration fee on it.  The fees cannot be returned until they are received from RECF.  If the Event Partner is not notified prior to the two-week deadline, all fees will be expected to be paid and no registration fees will be refunded. 

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
