General Info

Welcome all to our STEM/Robotics Center at EPISD!  We are thrilled that you opted to participate in 1st annual Jingle Bot Jamboree V5RC tournament.  Please see below for information pertaining to the tournament:

This event has now been moved to the Starlight Center and the new times are from 8:30 - 2:30PM

We will have Judging available for this tournament with in-person interviews and the option to submit your engineering journal on-line as well.  Please let us know if you are having trouble submitting your engineering journal through the on-line platform.

Items to consider:

  • Ensure to have all your student participation forms submitted
  • Arrive on time so that we can keep up with scheduled times and be able to leave on time
  • Ensure that your robots fit sizing specifications to so that we can expedite the inspection process
  • Adhere to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct 
  • Push collaboration with your peers and remember to have fun!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the unlikely event that an emergency/weather would force the event to be cancelled, all listed team coaches will be notified by provided email and phone as early as possible. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be given.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

In the event that you need to cancel, please make sure to notify [email protected] and [email protected].  In order to receive a refund, you must cancel 1 week before the day of the tournament so that teams in the waitlist have sufficient time to make arrangments.  If you registered and did not show, you will not receive a refund. 

Judging Format

 Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
