11:45 - 12:15 - Lunch (A concession stand will be open from 10am to 3pm serving hot dogs, pizza, drinks, snacks, etc.). No eating in pit area. 

12:20 - 12:25 - Drivers Meeting

12:30 - 5:00 - Qualification Matches

5:00 - 5:30 - Alliance Selection

5:30 - 6:15 - Elimination Matches & Finals

6:20 - 6:40 - Awards

6:40 - 7:00 - Pack up 

Volunteer

We will need volunteers to help run this event. 

Please contact Cari Wilson ([email protected]) and Mahesh Chugani (mchugani!wvschools.ca) if you would like to volunteer at this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event cannot run because of weather or other event, teams will be contacted by email and if very last minute by phone.
Please make sure you have provided us with those current emails and numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment can be submitted the day of the event. If you withdraw less than one calendar week (latest by Saturday, November 29, 11:59 PM)  before the event you will still be expected to pay the registration fee.

Teams are asked to bring cheques (made out to West Vancouver School District) or cash to the event and pay their fees at the registration desk when they arrive. E-transfers can also be arranged but a cheque or cash is preferred.

Travel Info

We are at 1750 Mathers Avenue in West Vancouver.

The event will be held at West Vancouver Secondary School in the Lower Gym. 

From Mathers Ave, please drive down to the Staff Parking Lot. The entrance to the Parking Lot is at the West end of the main school building on Mathers Ave. After you park, please walk back up to Mathers Ave and enter the main building. You will be entering on the 3rd floor. Go down one flight of stairs to the 2nd floor, turn left, walk a short distance and you will see the lower gym is on the right side.

Upon arrival, when you register at the Registration Desk and pay the Registration Fee, you will be given your time slot for judging.

Judging Format

 In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews will be in-person the day of the event. Teams should submit their Engineering Notebooks online via the link in their RobotEvents team profile account latest by 10 pm PST on Thursday, Dec 4, 

Judging – Each team will have 10 minutes (on a timer) to present to judges. There will be a schedule given to teams in the morning. See the Judging Tab for details.

Judging

Digital submission of Engineering notebooks.

Engineering notebooks must be submitted online via the link in your Robotevents team profile account.   In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews will be in-person the day of the event.

Each team will have 10 minutes (on a timer) to present to Judges.

Every team will be assigned a judging time between 9:00 am - 12:20 pm. Please make sure your teams know when their scheduled time is.

IMPORTANT: We will have an adequate number of time slots so that every team has the opportunity to be judged. Please arrive a few minutes early for your time slot for judging.  

Food

Pizza pre-orders can be made up until Friday night online at https://ten-ton-robotics-society.square.site/, and will also be available in the morning ($22 per large pizza). 

We’ll also have a concession in the cafeteria with items like instant noodles, hot dogs, and samosas, plus snacks and drinks. Payment options: cash or tap-to-pay (credit/debit).
