General Info

 

Thank you for your interest in our West Salem tournament. The event will be held in the Main common of West Salem. The east side Doors will open at 8 am for check in and inspections. This tournament is intended for advanced teams who are interested in going head to head with other top teams in the state. 

 

After passing inspection teams will participate in Qualifying Rounds, Alliance Selection and Elimination Rounds. There will also be a field open for Skills Challenge runs. Teams will be limited to three Driving and three Programming Skills Challenge runs.

Contact Zachary Link ([email protected]) if you interested in helping volunteer.  We can use referees and potentially judges.  If you are interested in refereeing please complete the VEX Referee Certification once it is online.

 

Vex U teams will be available to run skills run at this event if they volunteer.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

 

If bad weather is to occur, use your own discretion on attending the event.

If the event is cancelled and we are not able to reschedule the event we will refund your tournament fee.

Refund and Payment Policies

 

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

a full refund will be given

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Please understand that additional paperwork will be required for all refunds.

Judging Format

 

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline will be the same day that registration closes.

A judging table will be set up at the event in a secondary location. Teams who want to be interviewed will need to make time in their schedule to stop by. The Judging table will be closed during lunch
