General Info

Eastwood High School Robotics is excited to host the Blended (HS/MS) VRC5 Push Back Qualifier 2. This tournament is sponsored by Eastwood High School and run by the Eastwood Robotics team.
Only three Drive Team tags will be provided to each team. Only students with drive team tags are permitted at staging, the competition fields, and the skills field.  

We will have a full VEX Tournament featuring three competition fields, a skills field, and a practice field.

There are currently  32 slots for this tournament, and a maximum of 5 teams per organization are allowed. Make sure that you are marked as paid (or PO received and being processed by Robot Events) two weeks in advance, January 19, 2026, or your team may be replaced with a team from the waitlist.

Check in will be at 7:30 am, sharp. Teams must be checked in 60 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
 

Notebooks will have to submitted in the Digital Notebook format by January 20, 2026.
Only students and coaches are allowed in the pit areas.

There will be a concessions stand accepting CASH only. Prices will be affordable, staring from $0.50

Volunteer

This event will be a great opportunity to strenghten collaboration within all El Paso Region 1 teams, and if there are team mates that are not in the driving teams, they will be welcomed to volunteer with field setting, MC'ing, and other non-scoring duties.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event must be canceled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled for the next acceptable date.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

If the Event Partner cancels the event, Teams will be given a choice of moving to another event sponsored by the Event Partner, or a refund minus $5 will be provided.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, There is no refund. However, the event partner will do their best to accommodate moving the team to another event they are hosting. Event Partner will only allow for one date change.

Judging Format

This event will be a Judged event. 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The Digital Engineering Notebook submission deadline is January 20, 2026.
