General Info
Welcome everyone to the Waterloo Showndown V5RC Qualifying Competition, part of a series of tournaments presented by UWAT VEXU Competitive Robotics! We are excited to host over 45 teams from all around Ontario for the Push Back competition season this time around in 2026! This event is made possible by the generous support of the Waterloo Faculty of Engineering, the Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics, and team UWAT VEXU Competitive Robotics from the Sedra Student Design Centre. Learn about what Waterloo Engineering has to offer while competing against fellow teams. Please also review the following items before the competition date:

Teams can make payment via the following methods:
1) Please submit payment via the Shopfiy link below. Teams MUST pay using this link AND forward a copy of the confirmation / invoice / receipt to me (via [email protected]) to be marked as paid on robotEvents. Please put your team number and letter(s) in the comments/notes section. All teams must submit payment by January 5th 2026 10pm EST. Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, a notice will be posted on the event page to inform teams as soon as possible. Please ensure that your team contact information on Robot Events is up to date.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
A full refund will be provided
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Teams have 2 weeks after registration to pay the competition fee, after which unpaid teams will be moved onto the waitlist. No refunds will be given after Jan 5th 2026.

Judging Format
The judging format for the 2026 Waterloo Showdown qualifier is: Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews.
Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Please submit all engineering notebooks by Jan 8th, 2026, 11:59pm EST.
