Welcome to the 2026 Colorado V5RC High School Championship Tournament hosted by Erie High School , The Innovation Center of St. Vrain, and St. Vrain Valley Schools!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • We will be following a 2 day schedule. Please see the agenda below or on RobotEvent for more information. Teams will be required to be in attendance Friday to complete inspections and Opening Ceremonies

  • We will be using Smart Field Control connect to fields, please ensure your team has set up their V5 brain to connect to the field following the instructions available here

  • The Judging Format will be Remote Engineering Notebooks/In-Person Interviews for this event. All engineering notebooks must be submitted digitally via RobotEvents by Tuesday, February 24th at 11:59PM to be reviewed by judges.

  • 8:30 am Qualification Matches Begin / Skills Open

  • 12 pm LUNCH Skills Closed

  • 1 pm Qualification Matches Resume / Skills Open

    • ​Skills Closes at the end of qulaification matches.  Qualification Matches are estimated to end at 2:30 pm.

  • Alliance selection will take place 20 minutes after the end of Qualificaton Matches.

    • 10 minutes after the end of alliance selection - Robot Size Inspection Prior to Single Elimination Matches and Elimination Matches

  • Estimated 5: 30  pm Awards Ceremony

$305 per team. All payments are due 2/27/2026 4 PM MST in RobotEvents.

Concessions will be available on site Friday night and Saturday morning and afternoon. Additional options will be available Saturday.

We are in need of general event support volunteers! If you have any parents or students who are willing, please have them sign up here, they will be provided breakfast, lunch and  a T-shirt for the event. 

No experience is necessary for most roles. Training and meals will be provided for all volunteers.

Volunteers Needed: 2026 Colorado State Championships

We need your help to make this event a success! We are looking for judges, field staff, and general support volunteers to help run the tournament on March 6 – March 7, 2026.

No experience is necessary for most roles. Training and meals will be provided for all volunteers.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of INCLEMENT WEATHER (as determined by SVVSD), a postpoment email will be sent to the emails of those who registered (and to all volunteers) as soon as that decision is made.  A make up date will be scehduled as soon as posible.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment Deadline:

Payments for this tournament are due the Friday, March 27, 2026 4:00 PM MST

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be provided up until three weeks before the event, if requested by a team. Any registration made within 3 weeks of the event is final and not eligible for a refund.

If a refund is issued for any reason, only $295 of the full event fee ($300) will be returned due to the non-refundable RECF fee.

 

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event on Friday and Saturday.

Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is Tuesday February 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM MST.
