General Info
We are excited to invite VEX Robotics teams from around the GBA to a friendly scrimmage at Victoria Shanghai Academy! This event brings together talented students from various ACAMIS to showcase their skills in robotics, innovation, and teamwork.
Event Objectives:
The warm-up match is a great opportunity for teams to experience competition early in the 2025-26 (Push Back) season. It provides a platform for practice and technical exchange, giving teams time between qualification rounds to refine and enhance their robots. We encourage seasoned teams to share their expertise and mentor newcomers during their debut season.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of severe weather, earthquakes, or other circumstances that may disrupt transportation, the event may be canceled. In case of an emergency, the situation will be posted on the homepage. Additionally, we will contact the teams through the information registered on their robotevents.com accounts, so please ensure that your team's contact information is up to date.
If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, the competition will be canceled or postponed. Please stay updated with the latest announcements from the organiser.
Types of Rainstorm Warning

Amber Rainstorm Warning:
- Normal operations will continue. Parents are advised to exercise caution when commuting.

Red Rainstorm Warning:
- The event will be suspended if the warning is issued before the start of the tournament day.
- If the warning is issued during the event, students will remain at school until the warning is lifted.

Black Rainstorm Warning:
- The event will be suspended.
- Students will remain at school until arrangements are made for their safe dismissal.
Tropical Cyclone Warning

Signal No. 1:
- Normal operations will continue. Parents are advised to monitor updates.

Signal No. 3:
- Event may continue, but parents should assess safety for travel.

Signal No. 8 or above:
- Event will be suspended.
Emergency Situations
- In the event of an emergency (e.g., fire, earthquake), staff will follow established emergency protocols.
- Students will be evacuated to designated safe areas as per the school’s emergency response plan.
- Coaches will be notified as soon as possible.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will be made at the discretion of the Event Partner and only in the case of an emergency.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
If a team completes registration for the event and later chooses to withdraw or not attend: Regardless of the circumstances, if a team wishes to cancel their participation and request a refund, they must do so by 30 days prior to each event before the Event Partner cancels. No refunds will be issued for non-participation beyond the 30-day deadline. If a refund is approved, it will be processed within one month from the date of the refund request. Please note that the refund amount will not be the full payment, as it will be adjusted for payment system fees, schedule change fees, differences in currency exchange rates if applicable, and any bank transfer fees incurred.
The event will cost 150 HKD/CNY/MOP - if you would like this fee to be waived, please email [email protected] for an adult to take on a volunteering role per registered team.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event.
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
Digital Notebooks need to be submitted by (30th November, 2025, at 8 pm) to give judges enough time to score them
