General Info

We’re excited to be hosting tournaments throughout the Black Belt in Alabama!

This tournament is a great chance for both new and experienced teams to gain valuable practice, test out design and programming ideas, and connect with other VEX teams. Come sharpen your skills, make new friends, and enjoy a fun day of robotics!

Stay tuned for more details on parking, concessions, and other logistics. Updates will be posted here and emailed to all registered teams.

Coaches: Please make sure your RobotEvents email is accurate — all official updates will be sent there.

Volunteer

If you’d like to be part of the action, we’d love your help! We’re looking for volunteers to support roles like Judging, Scorekeeping, Queuing, and Field Resetting. No experience is required — just bring your energy and enthusiasm, and we’ll provide the guidance you need.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where we will post updates about the event status as needed. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • Refunds will be given, minus the $5 processing fee from the REC Foundation.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

  • No refund will be given.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
