This tournament is the HS regional championship for Vancouver Island, BC, and qualifies teams for the VEX World Championships. Teams will be invited to participate by the RSM based on in-region qualifying tournament wins, judging, and skills rankings according to standard RECF rules.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or weather event that precludes the event from operating safely and allowing all participants to arrive and depart safely, the Event Partner will cancel the event, and any event fees paid will be refunded as per the refund policy.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Any events fees paid will be refunded to institutions for their teams.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Please contact the Event Partner to discuss options for a refund. Refunds for any fees paid will be refunded to institutions provided that their spot can be filled in time for the competition.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person, on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their engineering notebook to submit to the judges.
