Welcome to: University Technical Institute PUSH BACK VEX V5 Robotics Competition.
This is your chance to be part of an exhilarating day filled with innovation, collaboration, and competition. Let’s celebrate the power of STEM and robotics together!
Universal Technical Institute is conveniently located just off the I-75 exit east.
This competition will highlight some of the best Robotics teams in the Region. While at UTI please take some time to visit their cutting edge facility, tour the campus and visit the STEM Demonstrations.
Digital Notebook Submissions must be uploaded to RobotEvents.com by the deadline listed in the Judging Format Tab. No Physical Notebook allowed.

Competition Preparation
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Robots must use VEX V5 parts. Please self inspect before arriving at the tournament using the V5 Robot Inspection Checklist

Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

Be sure to read VEX Tournaments 101 Before Your First VEX Tournament.

Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.

Prep for your interviews with the judges and read the Judge's Guide. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.

Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby, as teams are close to each other in the venue pit area. Also, remember no grinding or other actions that create sparks, ask the tournament director for a safe location if grinding is needed.

Ensure that you have the latest version of programming software and firmware for your V5 Brain.
Participation and Consent Form
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to robotevents.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament. Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If an emergency or bad weather results in the need to cancel or postpone the event, registrants will be notified.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Teams will receive a refund minus the RECF required $5.00
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by the host. Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing. Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come.
If a team does not pay by the registration deadline, they will be added to the waitlist.
Judging Format
Physical Engineering Notebook Submissions:
Digital Engineering notebooks will need to be submitted by 11:59PM on Wednesday, January 28th 2026, no physical notebook will be accepted the day of the event for evaluation. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
In Person Team Interviews:
Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
