General Info
Welcome! This is the "Hearts and Gears" V5RC Pushback Tournament held at the Career Technical Education Center in Santa Maria, CA. It is the first of its kind in our area so we are excited to provide this opportunity-especially for all the new local teams in the area. The event is intended to support the growing robotics programs within Region 3. Only teams within the region will qualify for the State Championship in Region 3.
Make sure that you are marked as paid (or PO received) by the payment deadline or you may be moved to the waitlist at the discretion of the Event Partner.
The venue is beautiful and will have a Valentine's theme. The tournament will also be held under a large covered outdoor patio. Therefore, rain or shine we are committed to providing an excellent experience, but the early morning hours on the Central Coast can be uncomfortably cold and occasionally wet. Be prepared to protect your electronics as you enter and exit. Dress in layers.
We will have two tournament fields, a skills field, and a practice field. There will be in-person judging only.
Check-in and inspection opens at 7:30am. The deadline for inspection will be 8:30am. The tournament will not be held up by late arrivals. Matches will begin at 9:00am. Teams that have not checked in by 8:30am will be dropped from the roster so that the match list may be run.Teams that are running late must contact the event partner prior to this cut off if they do not wish to be dropped.
Thank you again and we look forward to an awesome experience for you and your team!
Sincerely,
Jeff Cooper
