General Info

Welcome to the VEX V5 Robotics Kentucky Middle School State Championship!

We will be running a Middle School and separate High School State Championship simulataneously in our one large gym.  There will be a total of 8 fields running in one large gym!  Our large gym has balcony seating for all teams to be right in the middle of the action throughout the entire tournament.  Skills fields will be running all throughout the tournament and will continue up to the end of the qualification rounds.  Interviews will be conducted by local engineers and former robotics students just like you!  Thank you for registering for this event and be ready for a great championship this year.

Food
One pizza per team will be INCLUDED with your registration fees.  Additional pizzas can be ordered for just $10 per pizza.

Volunteer

We are proud to partner with Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline for volunteers in addition to former robotics students, but we are always in need of more volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering and have past experience, please contact Jonathan Leohr at [email protected].

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

While we don't like to discuss the possibility of bad weather, it is always a possibility.

All reasonable efforts will be made to inform teams of any delays due to inclement weather.

Please contact me if weather is a concern and please monitor the event status on Robot Events.com.

Refund and Payment Policies

When payment is due:

  • Payment status on RobotEvents must show paid or processing 2 weeks before the event date
  • Any team without a payment status of paid or processing 2 weeks before the event date will not be allowed to compete

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • It will be rescheduled

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

  • There will not be refunds

 

Judging Format

 In-Person Judging

  • ALL Team Interviews will be completed in-person the day of the event.
  • Physical Engineering Notebook Submissions: All physical notebooks must be scanned and submitted electronically for evaluation with a submission deadline of Wednesday, March 4th @3:15 CST.
  • Electronic Engineering Notebook Submissions: Digital notebooks must be submitted electronically for evaluation with a submission deadline of Wednesday, March 4th @3:15 CST.

To be clear:

  • ALL notebooks must be submitted DIGITALLY by Wednesday, March 4th @3:15pm CST.
  • Notebook judging will begin Wednesday, March 4th @3:30pm CST.
