General Info

Join us for the inaugural Brooks County ISD Robot Rodeo on Saturday, January 31, 2026! This exciting robotics competition will be held at the Falfurrias Junior High Gym in Falfurrias, Texas. Teams will have the opportunity to showcase their engineering and programming prowess across two main challenges: the intense, cooperative, and competitive Head to Head Contest and the precise, individual time-based Skills Contest. This event is designed to celebrate STEM, foster teamwork, and challenge students in a fun and dynamic environment.

To ensure your team is fully prepared for the Robot Rodeo, please review and complete the following steps:

  1. Review Official Rules & Inspection: About a week before the competition, review the official rules and run through the robot inspection checklist. This allows ample time for necessary adjustments. The inspection checklist and official rules can be found at: www.roboticseducation.org

  2. Check for Rule Updates: Stay informed of any late-breaking rule changes or clarifications by checking the official VEX forums.

  3. Review Tournament Posting: Carefully read all of the information contained in the official tournament posting on RobotEvents.com.

  4. Understand the Game: Ensure your team fully understands how the game will be played. VEX participants are welcome to watch the referee training videos before the tournament. These videos can be found using the same procedure outlined in Item 1.

  5. Update Firmware: Ensure that you have the latest version of firmware for your programming software (

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will be issued in the event that the event has to be cancelled or rescheduled or special circumstances arise. Deadline for refund will be one full week before event date.
