General Info
Saint Brendan Catholic High School is proud to host the Third Annual SabreTech Robotics V5RC Showdown for VEX V5 Robotics Competition !
Please arrive with your team's robots inspection ready! Teams should complete a preliminary inspection using the V5RC Robot Inspection Checklist prior to arriving at the event.
Concessions will be open throughout the event, along with offering drinks and snacks.
Teams should bring an extension cord (15 feet or longer recommended); we will provide power alongside all pit areas.
All participants and attendees are required to follow the expectations outlined in the REC Foundation Code of Conduct
Electronic Engineering Notebooks required - due January 15, 2026 by 6:00pm EST.

Tentative Schedule:
7:30 AM - Doors open, team check-in opens
7:45 AM - Inspections Open (please bring robots inspection-ready)
8:45 AM - Inspections close (if you're running late, please call the Event Partner to be included in the match list)
9:00 AM - Opening Ceremonies (announcements)
9:15 AM - 9:20 AM - Drivers Meeting
9:30 AM - Skills Field open / Qualifiers Begin
12:00 PM -1:00 PM - Lunch break
1:00 PM - Qualification matches resume
3:30 PM - End of Qualification Matches. Skills fields will close at the end of the last Qualifying Match.
4:00 PM - 4:15 PM - Alliance Selection
4:30 PM - Finals / Elimination matches
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM - Closing ceremonies
Volunteer
Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated! All volunteers are trained at the event, so no prior experience is required. Some roles are for adults only, but many are open to students.
All volunteers will be provided with free lunch and drinks.
St. Brendan students can earn community service hours by volunteering at the event!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of an emergency cancellation or other change in plans, teams will be notified via the team contact information available through RobotEvents. Please check to insure contact emails and phone numbers are correct and up-to-date.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event, a refund will be given. Refunds will always be $5 less than the registration fee due to the non-refundable fees required by RECF.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, please email the Event Partner so teams can be added to the waitlist. Request for refunds must be emailed to [email protected].
The payment deadline is January 2, 2026 and will be honored. If a team has not paid by this date, they will be placed on the waitlist.
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submission deadline - January 15, 2026 by 6PM.
