Welcome to TAI-VEX VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ (MS)!

This event is open to Middle School teams and will offer Skills challenges. The Skills field closes when the last qualification match ends.
This is a one-day event that will take place in the gym at the American School in Taichung!

Lunch will be provided for all members and coaches.

Late Arrivals

Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team. Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event,

Refunds are made at the discretion of the event partner and only if there are extenuating circumstances.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend, we do not issue refunds in these cases.

No refund for no show or withdraw teams. 

Teams who have not paid by the payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on events.vex.com. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
  • Deadline to submit Digital Engineering Notebook is before 15-Oct-2026
