General Info
In the spirit of Halloween we will have a costume Contest for best Team Costumes.
Registration Information
All participating teams must be registered with VEX V5 Robotics Competition on the events.vex.com website and have an official team number before registering for this event. If you do not have a Robot Events account you need to create one. Once you create an account you must register your robot similar to registering your car prior to signing up for this or any other VEX V5 competition. The deadline to register your robot is 23 October.
Engineering notebooks
We will be collecting Physical engineering notebooks at this event for judging.
Concessions are availble.
Elimination Matches
Number of elimination alliances (16-23 teams = 8 alliances in finals, 24-31 teams =12 alliances in finals, 32+ teams = 16 alliances in finals)
Competition Preparation
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
Review all game information: Current Game Webpage
Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Robots must use VEX V5 parts. Please self-inspect before arriving at the tournament.
Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on events.vex.com
Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.
- Goggles/Safety Glasses
- Spare parts & tools
- Batteries and chargers
- Power strip and extension cord
- Laptop computer
- Programming cable
- Engineering notebook (Required for judged awards)
- Banners and other decorations for your team pit table
- Giveaways if you have them
The following awards will be presented:
- Tournament Champions – Recognizes the winner of alliance partners in head to head competitio
- Robot Skills Champion – Recognizes the highest scoring team from Skills.
- Robot Skills 2nd Place
- Robot Skills 3rd Place
- Excellence Award – Top all-around team in both performance and judged.
- Design Award – Team with the best and most effective and efficient design process, judged.
- Judged Award – Team deserving recognition from Judges deserving special accomplishments, judged award
- Innovate Award – Recognizes a team’s unique Innovation
- Think Award – Team is recognized for their effective and creative programming
- Amaze Award – Recognizes a team with a high-quality robot
- Build Award – Team with a well-crafted robot
- Create Award – Recognizes a team with a creative engineering solution
- Energy Award – Team that demonstrates extraordinary enthusiasm
Remember that safety comes first, no grinding or other actions that create sparks, ask the tournament director for a safe location if grinding is needed.
Ensure that you have the latest version of firmware for your V5 Brain. If you need to connect to the internet the school has an open student network.
Participation and Consent Form
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to robotevents.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament.

Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be issued minus the Robot Event Fees.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Only requests for refunds made 3 weeks prior to the event will be refunded. (Refunds will be minus the processing fee from Robotevents.com)
Payment Deadline is October 9th, 2025. Not paying by this date may mean that your team may be placed on the waitlist to make room for another team.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
