The Robolabs Foundation invites your teams to participate in the flagship 2027 VEX Robotics World Championship™  qualifying One World VEX Robotics®  HS Signature Event @ UC Berkeley, California. With 64 top-notch teams from all over the United States and the globe competing at the #1 Public University in the World, the One World VEX Robotics® HS Signature Event promises to be one of the most exciting events of the 2026-2027 VEX Robotics World Championship™. During your stay, you'll be able to:

2027 VEX Robotics World Championship™
Signature Events will be awarded 2027 VEX Robotics World Championship™ qualification spots if they meet all established criteria set forth by the Global Robotics and Science Foundation. Failure to fully comply with these criteria may result in the event being ineligible to receive 2027 VEX Robotics World Championship™ spots, regardless of prior expectations or historical precedent

Signature Event Early Bird Information

  • All Signature Events will have a specific Early Bird Registration that is independent of all local/regional Early Bird systems.

    • Each team starts the season with three (3) opportunities to register during the Signature Event Early-Bird period.

    • A Signature Event Early-Bird opportunity is not taken away if a team registers for a tournament hosted by their school or organization (where the team’s coach is the Event Partner).

    • If a team registers during the Standard Registration period, a token is not taken away.

  • The official Signature Event Early Bird policy can be found in the Global Robotics & Science Foundation Library.

  • To find out how many Signature Event Early Bird tokens your team(s) have remaining, select the "My Teams" option in Events.vex.com

Volunteers Needed!
We will need a lot of volunteers to set up the venue on the preparation day and to operate the event smoothly on the competition day.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

In the case of an emergency/bad weather, we will make adjustments to the agenda and notify all teams via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

No refund will be provided, as the Event Partner incurs significant expenses and financial commitments in advance to plan, organize, and operate the event. These costs are incurred regardless of a team’s participation status and are therefore non-refundable.

  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
