General Info
Please Join STEM Southwest Podcast, R4Creating, and Be Greater Than Average, LLC as we present a VRC Event with skills challenges and judging! This will be our first year with VRC. We have hosted IQ Competitions and are now looking forward to serving the VRC Teams.
Questions for the Head Ref
If you and your team have questions for the head ref, they need to occur prior to the event. Use the Question for the Head Ref Form to submit your questions. These questions will be addressed and answered during the drivers meeting.
DIGITAL ENGINEERING NOTEBOOKS
Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. If you need help with submitting a digital notebook, please review the following information Submitting a Digital Notebook for VRC Other information regarding notebooks can be found HERE.
- Physical notebooks, or digital files of notebooks, will not be accepted in person.
- Acceptance Deadline for Digital Notebook: Midnight, February 1,2024
ROBOT SKILLS
Skills will be run at any time Qualifying matches are not being run. Once your team has checked in their robot, you can begin Skills Rounds. 3 Driver and 3 Programming per team. Do not wait till the end of the day or you will NOT get your skills rounds in.

The Team's Primary Contact, or another designated Adult Team contact (over the age of 18), must be present in the meeting environment through out the duration of the time. The Team's Primary Contact will be responsible for providing the Adult representative's contact information to the Event Partner prior to the event.

Competition Day
We expect the schedule to run as noted but please make allowances for variations after lunch due to running Skills on the same field as the Competition.
- Checkin/Inspection: 7:00am - 9:30am ( Suite 107)
- Skills rounds begin: 7:30am -10am with a break for Drivers/Coaches meeting.
- Drivers and Coaches Meeting: 9:30am - 9:45am (Suite 107)
- Qualification Matches: 10:00am -12:00pm (Suite 105 accessed through 106)
- Lunch: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
- Qualification Matches: 1:00pm - 2:30pm
- Skills rounds: During Lunch and After Qualification Matches until Finals Rounds Start
- Finals Rounds: Begin 3:30 to 4:00pm based on Skills
- Awards: 4:30pm
Volunteer
We love having volunteers. Most of the Volunteers for the competition must be a minimum of 16 and in some cases 18 or older. If you have anyone that would like to volunteer please contact us by filling in the form HERE

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event will take place rain or shine as it is in doors.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: All fees will be refunded except the $5.00 REC processing fee.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: None avaliable!
Judging Format
This event will be run on a single field. In order to provide both Matches and Skills we will be accepting only Digital Notebooks so that we can more efficiently run the competition. Remember that if you have a hardcopy notebook only you can scan it in and save it to a shared drive. Only links to a shared location are accepted through your "My Account" panel of the team contact. Interviews will still be held in person at the event.
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. The submission deadline is January 30, 2024 Midnight.
