General Info
Welcome to the Spookiest Competition in Region 2!
Terrell Robotics welcomes you back to the ExCEL Center for a tournament full of heart-stopping robotics moments, and a little bit of Halloween magic!
Get ready for trick-y matches and treat-worthy moments as you compete against teams from across the region to battle it out for TOURNAMENT CHAMPION!
Our goal is simple: to provide a tournament that is reliable, fast-paced, organized, competitive, and FUN for every team that walks through our doors.
Whether this is your team's first-ever VEX competition or you're a seasoned competition veteran, we want you to feel welcome and ready to compete. Our volunteers, referees, staff, and student leaders are here to help make your experience a great one.
A Tournament for Every Team
First competition jitters? We've got you.
Have a question about the game, schedule, or tournament process? Our team is ready to help.
We know that middle school robotics can be exciting, challenging, and sometimes a little overwhelming. That's why we're working to create an environment where students can learn, compete, make friends, solve problems, and have fun.
Halloween-Themed Fun
Bring your Halloween spirit to the ExCEL Center!
Teams are encouraged to embrace the theme with:
Creative team costumes and Halloween attire
Spooky or festive table decorations
Halloween-themed team spirit
Fun team signs and decorations
School and team spirit wear
Please remember that all costumes and decorations must remain school-appropriate, safe, and competition-friendly. Students must still be able to safely operate their robots and move around the competition area.
Competition Day
Expect a full day of, teamwork, engineering, problem-solving, sportsmanship, and plenty of robot action! Things may not always go according to plan—and that's part of robotics! A robot might stop working. A mechanism might break. A match might not go the way you expected. Your team may have to redesign, repair, reprogram, or rethink your strategy.
That's robotics!
We encourage every team to use those moments as opportunities to practice the engineering design process, communicate with their teammates, and learn from challenges.
Sportsmanship Matters
Winning is exciting, but great sportsmanship is what makes a great team.
We encourage students to:
- Cheer for other teams
- Help teammates and competitors when appropriate
- Respect referees and volunteers
- Encourage alliance partners
- Celebrate good matches
- Learn from mistakes
- Represent their school and team with pride
Coaches & Mentors
Coaches and mentors, thank you for supporting your students and helping them grow through robotics.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work to keep the tournament moving throughout the day. Please watch the event schedule and announcements for important updates.
Parents & Spectators
Families and supporters are an important part of the VEX experience!
Come ready to cheer, encourage, and celebrate your students. Your support can make a huge difference for a nervous driver before a match or a team trying to recover after a tough round.
Bring your school spirit—and your Halloween spirit!
So charge your batteries, check your connections, grab your tools, and get ready...
