Agenda

As a scrimmage, the purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for ACAMIS VEX V5 students to test their robot designs and code in an event leading up to the Regional Finals. Following is the draft event schedule. 

Friday 6th Nov

• 10:00am - Team Check - in open
• 11:00am - First qualification matches
• 12:30pm - Lunch 
• 1:30pm - Matches recommence
• 4:00pm - Fields close (all robots stay at the event) 

Saturday 7th Nov 

• 8:00am - Venue Opens
• 8:30am - Day 2 matches resume
• 12:30pm - Lunch (All matches pause)
• 1:30pm - Matches resume
• 2:30pm - Alliance Selection - Finals 
• 3:30pm - Presentations and closing

Volunteer

Team coaches are kindly requested to consider volunteering for the following roles. 

• Robot Check-in (Friday 10:00 - 10:45) 
• Pre-match check-in (Friday am, Friday pm, Saturday am, Saturday pm)
• Pit Marshalls (chasing up teams)
• Field Resetting (1 adult plus Previous Team)

Refunds will be provided should the event be cancelled due to an emergency / bad weather.

Travel Info

Nanjing Railway Station is closer to NIS than Nanjing South Railway Station, and thus more convenient for arrival and departure.  Additionally, Xianlin station is even closer if trains can be booked to arrive at that station.

NIS can help you arrange local bus transportation to/from the train stations or the airport at the expense of the visiting school. Please contact the NIS Activities Office for assistance with this.  For teams travelling from Shanghai by bus, there is on campus parking for busses.

Suggested accommodation is within easy walking distance from the hotel to the school. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging (Informal) - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
