Jefferson-Truman V5RC Override Tournament

We’re excited to welcome you to the upcoming Jefferson-Truman V5RC Override Tournament! 

This tournament is open to Middle School and High School teams.

Event Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026

 Location:    Jefferson Middle School (Main Gym)

                      712 Girard Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106  

The door will open at 7:20 AM.

 

What to Bring?

  • Your robots and all necessary tools

  • Spare parts, batteries, and chargers

  • Safety glasses for all team members

  • Extension cords and power strips

  • Any required documentation (inspection sheets, waivers, etc.)

Event Day Reminders

  • Check-in and inspection will begin promptly at the listed time. Please arrive early to ensure your robot passes inspection before matches begin.

  • Pits will be assigned upon arrival. Please keep your area clean and organized.

  • Code of Conduct applies to all students, mentors, and spectators—let’s promote a positive, respectful, and competitive environment.

  • A concession area will be available (donuts, chips, and sodas for $1 each)

  • Parking:  You may park at the Staff parking lot (front) or the Visitor parking (back). Please see the attached document.

Match Schedules & Updates

Qualification schedules will be released after inspections are complete. Please monitor the pit displays and listen for announcements throughout the day.

We would like to invite you to volunteer at our upcoming Jefferson-Truman VEX Robotics Tournament!

Your support would help us provide students with an exciting and successful competition experience. Volunteers play an important role in making robotics tournaments run smoothly, and there are several ways to help, including refereeing, queuing teams, field reset, and other event-support roles.

No prior experience is required for many volunteer positions, and training and resources are available to help you get started.  We would be very grateful to have you join us and support these students as they showcase their creativity, engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Emergency and Severe Weather Policy

The safety of all students, coaches, volunteers, families, and event staff is our highest priority.

In the event of severe weather, an emergency, or other unsafe conditions, tournament organizers will monitor local conditions and follow guidance from appropriate authorities. If conditions require changes to the event, organizers may delay, pause, modify, relocate, or cancel tournament activities.

If a delay, cancellation, or other significant change is necessary, updates will be communicated as soon as possible through the event's official communication channels.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

   -  Paid registration fees will be refunded.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

   - No refund will be issued.
