8:45 AM – Driver’s Meeting

• Review rules, schedule, and expectations.

10:00 AM – Qualification Matches Begin

• Matches run continuously.

12:00 PM – Lunch Break (1 Hour)

• Skills Challenge field will close.

1:00 PM – Qualification Matches Resume

2:30 PM – Qualification Matches Conclude

• Alliance selection immediately follows.

3:30 PM – Elimination Tournament Begins

• Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals

5:30 PM – Awards & Closing Ceremony

6:00 PM – Event Concludes / Cleanup

Volunteers

Teams are not required to provide volunteers for this event. CAJ will provide the necessary event staff and volunteers.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of severe weather, the tournament may be canceled. All registered teams will be notified promptly.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refund Policy

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will be issued according to the coach’s stated preference.

If a Coach/Mentor withdraws after completing registration:
No refunds will be provided once registration has closed.

By Train

1. From Central Tokyo (Shinjuku Station):

   • Take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line from Ikebukuro Station.

   • Get off at Higashi-Kurume Station (about 25 minutes by express, 35 minutes by local).

   • From Higashi-Kurume Station, CAJ is about a 5–7 minute walk.

2. Alternative Route (from Shinjuku):

   • Take the JR Chūō Line to Kokubunji Station.

   • Transfer to the Seibu Tamako Line and ride to Higashi-Kurume Station via Seibu-Yagisawa.

By Expressway

From Kan-Etsu Expressway (Nerima IC):

• • Exit at Nerima IC and take Route 254 toward Higashi-Kurume.

  • Drive approximately 20 minutes to CAJ.

• From Chūō Expressway (Kunitachi-Fuchū IC):

  • Exit at Kunitachi-Fuchū IC and follow signs toward Higashi-Kurume.

  • Drive approximately 30 minutes to CAJ.

Parking:
Visitor parking is limited. Please check in advance with Matthew Lindsey if you will need parking.

Judging Format

Judging

Judging will consist of two components: online Engineering Notebook review and in-person Team Interviews.

Teams wishing to be considered for judged awards must submit their Engineering Notebook online prior to the event by the announced submission deadline. Judges will review submitted notebooks in advance of the competition.

Team Interviews will be conducted in person during the event. Teams should be prepared to meet with the judging panel and discuss their robot design, engineering process, team organization, and overall competition experience.
