General Info

You are registering for Override at Cal Poly Pomona VEX V5 competition! This is the very first competition hosted at Cal Poly Pomona by the CPP Robotics Club!

Experience the excitement of competitive robotics at Cal Poly Pomona! Hosted by the Cal Poly Pomona Robotics Club, this VEX Override Competition brings student teams together to design, build, and program robots that will compete in fast-paced matches requiring strategy, teamwork, and engineering skill.

Students, families, friends, prospective students, educators, and community members are invited to attend and cheer on the competitors. This competition will take place on two competition fields and one skills field where each team will play in 6 qualifying matches each.

Competition Venue:

College of Buisiness Administration (Building 163, First Floor)

3801 W. Temple Ave, Building 163, Pomona, CA 91768

Date & Time: Nov. 08, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 5:00PM

Parking Info: TBD

Check-In Info:

Team should arrive between 9:00 to 9:15 and check-in at the front entrance of Building 163. 

Coaches should bring the following when checking in:

  • Signed Consent and Release forms (Found in the Documents section)

Clean Up

Clean up of the pits will begin after the qualification matches and should be done before the closing ceremony begins (1:00 PM to 3:00PM)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

All teams will be 100% refunded in the event that our tournament is canceled or postponed.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be provided

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Please read and sign this release of liability form. This form needs to be filled out by all attendees(coaches and students especially) and should be turned in physically and signed with a black/blue ink pen at check-in. One form per person. Faliure to turn in the form at the event will result in the participant not being allowed to compete.
