General Info
Battle for Placer Gold Invitational is an invite-only event , with priority consideration given to Placer area/Greater Sacramento teams. Contact us at [email protected] or place your team on the waitlist to be considered. The Sunday Feb 21 event is the MS Only event - we encourage all MS teams to sign up for the Feb 21st event at the same venue.
We do accept other teams after priority teams have completed their registrations on a case by case basis. Specifically, school , community / non profit and independent teams that have not yet already qualified for the regional championships.
All events will receive region 2 championship award bids based on the Global Robotucs Qualifying Criteria. The awards slots will be allocated by Global Robotics later in the season.
Please make sure to review the refund policies and payment deadlines - any team not paid in full by payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Bad weather should not affect this event.
In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible.
Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date, and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
Payment is expected at the time of registration. Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted by the event payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.
If you are registering after the payment deadline, you must complete payment at time of registration or you will be moved to the wait list immediately.
If the event is cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded.
No refunds will be provided after the payment deadline.
Health and Safety Policies
Based on local health and/or venue requirements, the event organizer reserves the right to require safety precautions based on the pandemic conditions at the time of the event - including masking or other precautions. (Currently masking is not required)
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions. Initial Team Interviews Remote, In Person followups
Initial Team interviews will be conducted online the week prior to the event, with followups as needed in person the day of the event.
Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Engineering DEN submission deadline is Feb 13, 5pm
