About the Team

RoPAWtics is the VEX Robotics Competition team representing Langston Hughes Middle School, home of the Panthers. The name Ascentria is derived from the words "Ascent," symbolizing the act of overcoming challenges, and "Tria," which stands for the three core principles we uphold: resilience, innovation, and unity. Together, these values define our team as one that perseveres, creates, and supports each other as we strive for continuous growth. Inspired by the legacy of Langston Hughes, we believe that the future is something to actively shape rather than passively wait for. Every design, setback, and achievement contributes to our collective progress.
