About the Team

The Agility Network Team Mantis was founded by three homeschooled scholars in 2021 late in the 2021-2022 VEX Robotics competition season. Their ingenuity, focus, dedication, embrace of challenges, and creativity led them to the Maryland state championship, beating all odds, every year since their inception. Our well-rounded teammates boast scholars who highly driven and executing emerging leaders who have matriculated to top rated computer science and engineering universities with scholarship, secured aviation licensure and IT certifications, performed as musicians before massive audiences, and have launched growing entrepreneurial ventures. The VEX competition ecosystem is where they learn, grow, and thrive among like-minded peers who are ready to serve and improve our world.

About this Season

This season, the goal is to immerse Team Mantis in the environment of full cycle product, service, and organizational behavior and development as scholars of The Agility Network Agile Apprentice Program. The VRC experience provides the ecosystem in which our team can apply the rich skill-building and mentorship they receive as Agile Apprentices. Team Mantis looks forward to learning as they are growing through VRC and all the provisions provided to them to thrive.
