About the Team

We're a group of students spread across multiple year groups. We're passionate about robotics, so we started the club even though there was basically 0 mentor support. We reach out to a teacher to organise the busses, but that's it. We have a wide range in skills, but all members of the team contribute.

About this Season

We've had success and disappointment in our first proper year (I organised the club ~1 month from Regionals). We came up with the meta archetype independently. We've beaten the local big dogs in elims, but rank lower in qualifications because we have to tune everything on the day(lack of funding & equipment to do our own tests). We've made it to the finals 3 competitions in a row, have learned a lot, and are preparing for the Nationals.

About Team Sponsor

Horner Automation Group are global leaders in the design and manufacture of factory automation control products. We've carefully developed our relationship with them over several months, including demonstration our robot in the 20/11/2024 Cork STEM expo. They were actually were the main organisers for the event. They've impressed us as a really friendly and good quality company. In our (some members of the team) past ESA CanSat competition venture, they let us use their facilities to repair the shell for our mini-satellite-in-a-can. I cannot state how highly I hold this company. Thank you Horner! Link to their website: https://hornerautomation.eu/
