About the Team

We are team 360X from Miami, Florida. We are formerly members of 4154V and 4330R, having won 50+ awards in the past three years, going to world finals in Tipping Point, division finals in Spin Up, winning State TC 3x, State Excellence 3x, and State Skills 2x. Beyond our own team, we make it a priority to inspire and promote robotics education both in and outside our community. For the past year, before forming 360X, we started a nonprofit, Vexcellent Minds, which works with students in Mérida, Venezuela using Vex IQ parts to help teach robotics to kids who would otherwise not have any exposure to robotics. Furthermore, we realize the fortunate situation that we are in being able to afford robotics and much of the equipment that comes with that. We have a laser cutter, drill press, and belt sander in our garage lab, and access to CNC Mills, lathes, bandsaws through our respective schools. Understanding the advantage and privilege we are granted by this, we began last year by laser cutting parts for various teams in North/Central and South Florida. This year, we decided to expand that outreach to further provide for the community that has given so much to us. Along with continuing to laser cut parts for other teams, we have also began providing other services using the aforementioned tools such as laser cutting gears and CNC milling parts. We have made it our goal to purchase our own tools of these kind so we can make them accessible to the public at any time. We have dedicated a percentage of all funds we raise towards this goal, and hope to continue giving back as much as possible.

About this Season

This season is dedicated to our coach, Kapri O'Brien. Over the years, Kapri has supported us greatly being the primary mentor to both of our members for two years competing along side them, and taking us under his wing. This season when we made the decision to go private, Kapri wholeheartedly supported us offering to be our coach and helping us greatly with everything from team setup to sponsorship emails to registrations. We are forever appreciative for everything that Kapri has done for us as we would not be nearly where we are today without him.
