About the Team

We are a team of eight Grade 10 students from The Dewey Schools who share an interest in robotics, engineering, programming, and competition. Our team consists of Nguyễn Tự Tuyển, Nguyễn Hoàng Minh, Kang Younggun, Nguyễn Minh Đức, Lê Trần Khánh Lâm, Phạm Trí Dũng, Hoàng Nam Anh, and Nguyễn Quốc An. Although some members are experienced while others are VEX rookies, we all share the same goal: to build a competitive robot and improve together. Each member contributes different skills, including building, designing, programming, driving, and documentation. For us, VEX is more than just a robotics competition. It is an opportunity to challenge ourselves, learn from our mistakes, and work together as a team. Our slogan: Build better. Think smarter. Compete harder. The 2026–2027 VEX V5 Robotics Competition introduces Override, a game focused on scoring Pins and Cups, controlling Toggles, and competing for the Midfield. Our main goal this season is to build a fast, reliable, and consistent robot while improving our programming, driving, engineering, and teamwork skills. We will use a continuous process of design → build → test → improve throughout the season. One of our biggest challenges is balancing different levels of experience while working within our limited practice time. However, we believe this will help us learn from each other and become a stronger team. We hope to perform well in upcoming competitions while gaining valuable experience and becoming better engineers and competitors.
