About this Season

High Stakes played on a 12’ by 12’ field with two alliances, blue and red, of two teams that compete to score as many points as possible in a two-minute period. The two minutes are broken into a fifteen (15) second autonomous period followed by a one minute and forty-five second (1:45) driver controlled. The main object of the game is to score higher than the opposite alliance team by scoring Tori onto stakes and by Elevating at the end of the match. During the Autonomous period, an Autonomous Win Point is awarded to any Alliance that can complete three (3) assigned tasked by the end of the Autonomous Period. This extra point can be earned by both, neither, or one of the Alliances, regardless of who wins the Autonomous Bonus -- An eight-point bonus that is awarded to the Alliance that has the most points at the end of the Autonomous Period. At the end of the Match, each Robot’s height off the ground will be measured to determine their Elevation Tier. Elevation Points will then be awarded based on each Robot’s tier.
