About the Team
BigAçıTech – Engineering the Future with Passion and Purpose We are BigAçıTech, a dedicated robotics team from Türkiye competing in VEX Robotics, where innovation, resilience, and teamwork come together to create something extraordinary. Our journey is not just about building robots; it is about pushing limits, solving real problems, and growing stronger with every challenge we face. From the very beginning, we embraced the mindset that failure is not the end, but a step toward improvement. Through countless hours of design, coding, testing, and refining, we transformed our ideas into high-performing systems that reflect both our technical skills and our determination. Throughout the season, our efforts translated into remarkable achievements across multiple competitions. We earned two Teamwork Champion Awards, proving our strength in collaboration and alliance strategy. Our engineering excellence was recognized with two Excellence Awards, the most prestigious honor given to teams that demonstrate outstanding performance in all aspects of the competition. We were also honored with the Design Award, highlighting the strength, creativity, and functionality of our robot. In addition, our performance in robot skills challenges secured us a Skills Award (2nd Place), showcasing our precision, control, and technical capability. At the Türkiye National Championship, competing against 69 teams, we achieved Türkiye Runner-Up and once again earned the Excellence Award, confirming our position as one of the most complete and high-performing teams in the country. What defines BigAçıTech is not only the awards we win, but the way we achieve them. We approach every challenge with a strong engineering mindset, carefully documenting our entire process in our engineering notebook—from initial ideas to final solutions. We analyze our mistakes, improve continuously, and develop strategic approaches for both autonomous programming and driver-controlled matches. Beyond technical skills, we place great importance on communication and teamwork. Our students confidently present their ideas in English, effectively expressing their design process, strategies, and innovations to judges on an international level. This ability to combine technical excellence with strong communication sets us apart. With these achievements, we earned the honor of representing Türkiye at the VEX Robotics World Championship in the United States. This opportunity is more than a competition for us; it is a chance to share our story, our effort, and our passion on a global stage. We are ready to compete with the best teams in the world, to learn from them, and to continue growing as engineers and innovators. At BigAçıTech, we believe robotics is not just about machines—it is about people, perseverance, and vision. We are building more than robots; we are building confidence, creativity, and the future. We are BigAçıTech. We build. We code. We compete. And we inspire.
About this Season
This season has been more than just a competition journey for us—it has been a powerful experience of growth, learning, and transformation. As BigAçıTech, competing in VEX Robotics, we faced challenges that pushed us beyond our limits and taught us what it truly means to be a team. At the beginning of the season, we started with ideas, sketches, and high expectations. As we moved forward, we encountered technical difficulties, design limitations, coding errors, and strategic challenges. There were moments when our robot didn’t perform as expected, when our designs failed, and when we had to completely rethink our approach. However, instead of giving up, we chose to analyze, improve, and try again. Each failure became a lesson, and each lesson made us stronger. Throughout the season, we learned that success is not only about winning matches. It is about understanding the engineering process, documenting every step, and continuously improving. Our engineering notebook became a reflection of our journey—capturing our ideas, mistakes, solutions, and progress. We also developed strong communication skills, especially during judge interviews, where we had the opportunity to present our work confidently in English. One of the most valuable aspects of this season was teamwork. We learned how to trust each other, support one another under pressure, and work together toward a common goal. During matches, we collaborated with alliance partners, built strategies together, and adapted quickly to changing situations. These experiences taught us that robotics is not an individual effort, but a collective achievement. Competing in different tournaments and reaching the national level allowed us to test ourselves against strong teams from across the country. Every match, every interview, and every interaction helped us grow not only as competitors but as individuals. Looking back, this season has changed us. We are now more confident, more disciplined, and more determined. We have learned how to think like engineers, act like a team, and perform under pressure. As we move forward to the global stage, we carry with us not only our robot, but also our experiences, our lessons, and our passion. No matter the outcome, this season has already been a success for us—because it shaped who we are today. We didn’t just build a robot this season… We built a stronger version of ourselves.
