About the Team

This team began their first season two years ago as 6th graders with 0 robotics experience. However, they were able to earn a Sportsmanship Award as well as a Second Place Teamwork Champion Award. Last year, they earned The Excellence Award and competed at the Indiana State Championship. They were then invited to compete at the World's Championship in Dallas, Texas. They are currently 8th graders and are looking forward to competing in this year's game.

About this Season

This will be this team's final year with VEX IQ and are wanting to make it a year to remember. They started this season in the summer at Robotics Camp and continue to make progress with each practice. They are planning on participating in a few Full Volume Competitions including two home events at their school.

About Team Sponsor

Rosa Snapp teaches 6th grade Language Arts at East Washington Middle School and coaches five Vex IQ teams after school. Her first season began last year and she knew absolutely nothing about coaching robotics. However, she learned right along with her teams. She's enjoyed seeing the students learn what it takes to be part of a team. Christina McGinnis serves on the school board at East Washington School Corporation and also coaches robotics. She finds business sponsors for the teams, makes the team shirts, and drives the bus to all their competitions.
