About the Team

The Magikid Triple R-Rocking Rolling Robot team consists of four enthusiastic young boys deeply passionate about VEX robots. Our robot, affectionately named Gigabyte, represents the culmination of our shared interests and similar ages. In this summer, our commitment led us to immerse ourselves wholeheartedly in the Magikid Frisco Lab system to learn the fundamentals of VEX robotics. Despite our status as newcomers, devoid of any prior competition experience, our enthusiasm and confidence remain unwavering. We dedicate every ounce of our free time to the design and development of our robot. Our approach goes beyond independent robot creation; we search competition videos from YouTube, learning from the experiences of others and integrating their insights into our engineering notes. We summarize our journey using the acronym "MORE": Motivation (M): We are driven to prove that even robotics rookies can excel when they combine diligent work with intelligence. Obstacle (O): We embrace challenges such as limited parts, design setbacks, robot malfunctions, and coding errors as opportunities to learn and grow. Resources (R): We tap into a wide array of resources, including support from family members, guidance from coaches, educational YouTube videos, insightful Instagram posts, and collaborative discussions on the VEX forum. Execution (E): We meticulously execute every phase of our project, from design and construction to testing and practice. We hold each other accountable and continually seek answers to improve our performance. In just two months, our dedication led to continuous improvements in our robot's design. We are now poised to unveil Gigabyte for the very first time in an upcoming competition. With an unwavering desire for victory and a commitment to achieving outstanding results, we eagerly anticipate this upcoming challenge.
