About the Team

Hackers IQ was build from a home grown new school program two seasons ago. The captain, Marco Siberon, and his father started a Vex Robotics club at Metrolina Scholars Academy and the team won the NC State Vex IQ Elementary Championship in its first year and won the Judges Award at Worlds. The second year, the team was more inspired but the captain had to recruit new memebers as he moved to Middle School where a new robotics club was also created from scratch. That second year, the team won the NC State Middle School Championship as well (last season). This season, the team decided to stay together but as a private team. They were all inspired and motivated from the experience at Worlds and are eager to get to St Louis this year, which would be the third consecutive year in a row at Worlds.

About this Season

First competition for the team is on December 13th in Bahama NC. Second competition at Concord, NC on January 10, 2026. Won Teamwork Award and the Design Award. Qualified for NC State championship.
